were both born in Wiesbaden, grew up and went to school there. So one can easily say that they are two “born and bred” Wiesbadeners. Rainer Loß learned his profession as a cook from scratch in well known Wiesbaden hotels to then further his activities in the management field. With a scholarship Rainer Loß then studied restaurant and hotel management at the famous “Cornell University”. His learning and development years took him all over the world as a hotel manager.
His strong bond to his home city took him back to Wiesbaden after several years. It was here that he wanted to settle down with his wife Gudrun and his family. So they searched for and found the “Bobbeschänkelche” which represents something very special in Wiesbaden, due to its long tradition in hospitality, good food and its unchanged state for more than 150 years.
Gudrun and Rainer Loß now look after your culinary well-being here in the “Bobbeschänkelche”, thereby committing themselves to the long tradition.
Apart from the regional specialities we also serve you freshly prepared home-made dishes. Along with these, you will be served suitable wines, a cool draught beer or a typical Hessian cider.
